Suspense over Chief whip, Dy Chief whip

Jaipur: There seems to be a struggle over the names of Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip in the state assembly. According to sources, the decision is possible in the current session of the assembly as there is news of discussion with state leadership including state incharge Randhawa regarding the new Chief Whip. Word in the ‘relevant circles’ is that Mahendra Choudhary can be promoted to the post of chief whip. If this does not happen then the name of Rajendra Pareek, Ashok Bairwa will be considered.

However, Pareek is not in favor of taking the post. Moreover, the names of Gopal Meena, Jagdish Chandra Jangir, Amit Chachan, Amin Kagzi and Rohit Bohra are doing the rounds for the post of Dy Chief Whip. Notably, even the position of Dy Speaker is still lying vacant.
