Strange congratulations in Commercial tax dept

Jaipur: The round of congratulations that went on for the last 3 days in state’s Commercial Tax Department has ended on Tuesday. This round of congratulations was for correcting the alleged credit of Rs 100 crore of a taxpayer, but later it was found that taxpayer himself took initiative to correct the mistake and informed an officer of dept. The official rushed to declare this information as her success and receive praise for it. He also gave credit to the guidance of her senior officer, Dy Commissioner.

Later, when truth was revealed, the round of congratulations stopped and efforts were made to ensure that this matter was not exposed in the media. A taxpayer named Neeraj, registered in Jaipur Zone-2, Circle B of the department, took GST credit of Rs 100 crore by technical mistake. When taxpayer came to know about this mistake, he rectified the mistake and also informed an officer of the dept about it. Just after this, the game of taking credit for correcting this mistake started.

When congratulatory messages from other officers of the department started coming to Shashikala Pareek, she attributed it to the guidance of her reporting officer Mahesh Kumar Choudhary. After this, the flood of congratulatory messages moved towards Mahesh Kumar Chaudhary.
