Stenos to be known as Personal Assistants

Jaipur: The Finance Department has issued the orders to change the designation of stenographer to ‘Personal Assistant’ and to approve the new post of ‘Senior Personal Secretary. The demand for cadre review was being raised by the employees for a long time and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made the announcement in the budget. On the instructions of Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, a letter was sent to the finance department on April 28, 2022, to take action as per the budget announcement. On Tuesday, the finance department issued orders. The steno cadre review was long pending. In the lack of review, the employees get no promotion in the service of 35-40 years. The issue was being raised by the employees union. Mahesh Kumar Sharma, the state general secretary of Rajasthan Niji Sahayak Sanvarg Mahasangh, informed the finance department has issued the orders in compliance with the budget announcement.
