State Govt likely to table Right to Health Bill in Assembly

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot plans to provide the right to medical treatment to the people of the State. The draft of the Bill prepared by the Health Department is currently being examined in the Law Department. The health department had prepared a 15- page Bill draft in March. According to this Bill, all the people of the State will have the right to get all the information related to healthy living. They will have the right to avail free consultation, medicine or check-ups, emergency vehicle facility, emergency medical facility at all hospitals. They will be able to avail treatment at concessional rate at private hospitals. Dr Sushil Parmar, Additional Director, Health Department said that we are hopeful that the Bill will be presented in this session.
