Jaipur: In collaboration with the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation, the State Government has issued several instruction to increase the use of drones in the departmental works.

Now spraying of fertilisers and insecticides in the agricultural fields can be done through drones, for which the Agriculture Department has started preparations. Along with monitoring, the quality of crops and soil, survey of crops destroyed during natural calamities will also be done through drone technology.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia wrote a letter to the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot last month urging him to promote the use of drone technology. With the help of State Governments and industries, a target has been set to make India the world’s drone hub by 2030.

From monitoring of assets and transmission lines of Electricity Dept, land records and property rights in Panchayati Raj Department to raid and anti-terrorist operations, use of drones to be prioritised.
