Shekhawat corners Cong over law and order in Raj

Jaipur: Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Monday cornered the ruling Congress over deteriorating law & order situation in state and appeasement policy of Gehlot government.

“With a very sad and moving heart, I have to say that in last 5 years, due to the appeasement policy of the Gehlot government, more than a dozen priests and saints have been murdered. But state Cong govt did not provide any compensation and financial assistance to these saints and priests, but within an hour of the death of a youth in a road rage incident in Jaipur, the govt announced a compensation of Rs 50 lakh. The agenda of this government is only to serve its vote bank, and to please a particular community by dividing the society,” he said while addressing media here. He also hit back at Gehlot’s remarks on being a ‘fakir’.
