Sariska villagers agree to shift to Tijara

Jaipur: The shifting of the villages in the Critical Tiger Habitat of Sariska Tiger Reserve has been a tough ask for the Forest Department since the beginning. However, with the untiring efforts of Sariska Field Director Roop Narayan Meena, DFO Sudarshan Sharma and their team on Monday they have successfully relocated 32 families of village Loj.

In fact, villagers had given their consent for voluntary displacement from village Loj located in Critical Tiger Habitat (CTH) of Sariska Tiger Reserve to Tijara Rundh.

Under which the process of relocation of village Loj was started. On Monday, villagers of 32 families of village Loj (Nathusar) sent their household items in 14 tractors and two pickup vehicles and left for the relocation site Tijara Rundh. It is noteworthy that 99 families of village Loj are being settled in Tijara Rundh. With the displacement of this village, a massive area will be available for tigers.
