RSIC sets a new record by disposing of 22,000 cases

Jaipur: The Rajasthan State Information Commission has created history by disposing of record breaking 22,000 cases during hearings in 19 months. Led by Chief Information Commissioner DB Gupta, the team of RSIC has settled more than 22,000 cases including appeals in a period of 19 months. The effective period of hearing was about 15 and a half months because 19 months include a period of three and a half months of lockdown. In 19 months, more than 22,000 cases from April 2006 to December 2020 were settled. Disposal of cases is going on at a fast pace since January 2022. Former CS DB Gupta had taken charge of the State Information Commission in December 2020. When he was appointed, there was pendency of cases but Gupta set an example of excellent working and created history with teamwork.
