RHB has earned revenue of over ₹3,750 cr in 3 years: Dhariwal

Jaipur: UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal on Wednesday said in the Assembly that the economic condition of local bodies, trusts, councils and authorities has strengthened as a result of all-round development of cities being done by State Govt.

Praising RHB for its performance, Dhariwal informed the house that the bank balance of the Board in December 2018 was `238 crore and there was no income generation but the RHB with its financial management earned a total revenue o `3,750 cr in 3 years.

“Today, the bank balance is about `2,500 cr. About `500 cr are being spent in devp works and new schemes. Out of 20,000 unsold houses, only 5,500 houses are now left,” he said while giving reply to the debate on grant (town planning and regional development).

He said that the former BJP govt wanted to shut down the housing board but now the board is writing a new success story.

“RHB is not only building the houses, it is working with out-ofthe-box thinking. The board has given schemes like ‘Chaupati’ and ‘Coaching Hub’.
