RAJASTHAN DISCOMS BAG 2ND POSITION IN ALL INDIA RANKING

Jaipur: Rajasthan power distribution companies (Discoms) have got another feather in the cap by securing second position in all India ranking for the last financial year released by the Government of India. The rating has been issued by the ministry of energy on four different parameters. Jaipur Discom got A+ rank in fault rectification category.

Energy minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Chairman of Rajasthan Discoms Bhaskar A Sawant and Jaipur Discom MD Ajeet Saxena gave the credit of this achievement to field engineers. The Central government has set 4 parameters according to the services provided to the electricity consumers and for speedy redressal of their complaints. The rating is given by REC. Sawant said that as per the REC report, only 4 Discoms out of 60 have the best performance at the national level in fault rectification and grievance redressal, out of which 2 Discoms are from Rajasthan. A+ grade was given for Jaipur and Jodhpur Discoms while A grade was given to Ajmer Discom.

According to the grading of all four parameters, Jaipur and Ajmer Discoms have got B+ grade and Jodhpur Discom has got B grade. Jaipur Discom MD Ajeet Saxena said that according to the grading, only 7 Discoms are ahead of Jaipur and Ajmer Discoms and 18 Discoms have higher ratings than Jodhpur Discom.
