Raj Mins Shekhawat, Meghwal, Yadav, Chaudhary take charge

New Delhi: Jodhpur, renowned as the cultural and judicial heart of Rajasthan, once again made waves in the nation’s capital Delhi as Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, a three-time MP from Jodhpur, assumed office as the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism.

Earlier, from Jodhpur, Ashok Gehlot has been Tourism Minister while Chandresh Kumari has been the Culture Minister.

Entire Marwar region celebrated Shekhawat’s third consecutive term in the Lok Sabha and his ministerial berth has led to a surge in Jodhpur’s prominence which will further take Jodhpur to a higher level in terms of tourism. Shekhawat’s ascendancy to the helm of the Culture and Tourism Department elates the residents of Jodhpur, marking another milestone in the city’s illustrious history. Shekhawat inherits the Tourism Department, once under Gehlot’s purview, and the Culture Department, formerly overseen by Chandresh Kumari.
