Piped gas to be available in State in 8 yrs: ACS

Jaipur: Domestic gas connections will be made available through 96 lakh pipelines in eight years under the city gas distribution system in the State. Instructions have been given to 14 gas companies working in 33 districts of the State to make gas distribution system through pipeline and CNG distribution system effective within the stipulated time. Efforts are being made in the state to provide City Gas Distribution System through pipeline in a safe manner. ACS Subodh Aggarwal said that the pipeline is being laid in Jaipur city via Jobner to Kalwar road. He said that 10,000 connections will be issued by March 23 in Kalwar Road, Jhotwara, Vidyadhar Nagar and Mahendra SEZ of Jaipur. Aggarwal held a review meeting of the representatives of all the 14 institutions. He said that 1187 stations would be set up for CNG gas distribution. Aggarwal said that the state government is serious about the early implementation of the gas distribution system through pipeline.
