Panchayati Raj Day: Increase active participation, says Poonia

Jaipur: BJP state president Satish Poonia on Sunday interacted with young public representatives of Panchayti Raj and asked them for active participation.

The ‘Yuva Jan Pratinidhi Samvad’ programme was organised by BJYM state president Himanshu Sharma on the importance of Panchayati Raj and urban local bodies’ governance.

Poonia said that if the BJP representatives of Panchayati Raj increase their active participation, then surely the Gram Sabha will get new strength and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a developed village will come true.

“The idea of Antyodaya will also get a boost,” he said.

Himanshu Sharma said that the means of self-employment should be available in the villages so that the village can become selfreliant and the dream of PM Modi of building a self-reliant India can be fulfilled.
