Our priority is to make farmers of the State happy & prosperous: CM Sharma

Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Wednesday that the double engine govt of the state under the leadership of PM Modi is committed to making the farmers happy and prosperous by increasing their income.

“Our govt has taken most of the decisions in the interest of farmers as soon as it came to power. Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, financial assistance to farmers has been increased from Rs 6K to Rs 8K per year and by giving an additional bonus of Rs 125 per quintal on MSP of wheat, it has been increased to Rs 2400,” Sharma was addressing PM Kusum Solar Pump Plant Approval Letter distribution ceremony at Durgapura, Jaipur on Wednesday. Approvals have been issued for solar pumps to about 50 thousand farmers of State and approximately Rs 1830 crore will be spent on this, out of which Rs 908 crore will be given to farmers as grant. The installation of these solar power pumps will produce appx 200 MW electricity.
