Oil India shows interest in Raj

Jaipur: ACS, Mines and Petroleum, Dr Subodh Agarwal said that apart from mining and exploration of mineral oil and natural gas, Oil India has now shown interest in investing in renewable energy, especially in solar and wind energy and this is the unique and latest technology of its kind in the state for petroleum mining. Significantly, Oil India is currently producing heavy oil and natural gas in Tanot Dandewala and Bagewala in the state, while exploration work is going on under petroleum exploration license at five places in the state. Oil India’s CMD Dr. Ranjit Rath has made this offer during a meeting at Secretariat on Friday. He said that during the last discussion, Oil India CMD Rath was requested to come forward in the field of renewable energy in the state. CMD Oil India Dr Rath informed that Oil India has a program of investment of Rs 663 crore in mining and exploration in the state by 2025, out of which Rs 130 crore has been invested.
