NWR operates 512 trains, earns ₹3,334 cr revenue

Jaipur: In the last 2 years, despite Covid-19, the railway administration has registered remarkable progress in terms of train operation and income.

In the financial year 2021-22, North-Western Railway has focused on keeping the train operations smooth. The effect of this is that today 512 trains are being operated from NorthWestern Railway zone. In the last financial year, more than Rs 7.30 crore passengers traveled and North-Western Railway earned Rs 3,334 crore income.

“At present, the train operation stands at a position as it was before the Covid-19 period. Special trains are also being operated so that passengers can get adequate number of trains.

Efforts are also being made to give confirmed seats to the passengers by increasing the coaches in large number of trains,” said Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North-Western Railway
