With no action being taken on the ‘rebellion’ of three Congress leaders even though a notice was served to them, Congress National General Secretary KC Venugopal, clarified on Wednesday that no clean chit has been given to Ministers Shanti Dhariwal, Mahesh Joshi and RTDC Chairman Dharmendra Rathore so far. “The inquiry is pending with the Congress Disciplinary Committee and the party has not decided anything on that issue yet. We are considering that right now,” said KC Venugopal, who reached Jaipur at around 2.30 pm on Wednesday and spoke to the media at Jaipur airport. “I have come to participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra which is getting a good response in Rajasthan,” he said. Notably, Venugopal left for Sawai Madhopur along with Congress spokesperson Sandeep Choudhary. It is clear from the statement of KC Venugopal, who is called the ‘eyes and ears’ of Rahul Gandhi, that the Congress High Command is is adopting the policy of “wait and watch” on the statements of the three leaders. The episode of Ajay Maken’s letter is also said to be one of the reasons behind the delay in the decision, although it is a different matter that the Sachin Pilot camp had pressed for action against the three leaders. The three leaders had said in their reply that parallel meeting were not held and ministers and MLAs had gathered to meet in case of no confidence.
