New HC CJ arrives in Jaipur, receives guard of honour

Jaipur: Newly appointed Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court Pankaj Mithal reached Jaipur on Wednesday. About 5 guests including his wife and daughter have also come along. A guard of honour was also given to Justice Mithal at the Rajasthan High Court Guest House. Acting Chief Justice MM Srivastava, High Court Registrar General SP Kangra, High Court Registrar (Administration) Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Principal Secretary Law Praveer Bhatnagar and others met Mithal. Justice Mithal will take oath on October 14 as 40th Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court. The Swearing-in ceremony will be held at Raj Bhavan on October 14 at 4 pm. Governor Kalraj Mishra will administer oath to Mithal. CM Gehlot, Speaker Dr CP Joshi, Cabinet members, High Court judges, High Court Bar officials and prominent dignitaries will be present in the oath taking event.
