MoU signed between JDA and JMRC to resolve ‘Metro Enclave’ dispute

Jaipur: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) and Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) on Wednesday to resolve the long-pending dispute of Metro Enclave located on B2 Bypass. Officials informed that JMRC will soon transfer the land of JDA, following which, lease deeds will be issued to investors. “JDA will pay an amount of Rs. 318 crores to JMRC in lieu of transfer of land. The JMRC was allotted 1.48 lakh square meters of land at Durgapura Krishi Farm in 2010 by the state cabinet. The JDA has auctioned the land, but could not issue lease deeds as the land belonged to JMRC,” informed an official. The MoU was signed by JDA Secy Ujjwal Rathore and JMRC Director (Company Affairs) Mahesh Bhuradia in the presence of UDH Principal Secy Kunji Lal Meena. According to the terms, JDA will transfer 30% of the amount to JMRC in quarterly installments. The remaining 70% amount will be paid by JDA from the income from the scheme within period of 5 years.
