LPG godowns in residential areas a threat; PSK hints at strict action

Jaipur: LPG gas godowns situated in residential colonies of Jaipur are posing a serious threat to people. Estimates suggest that nearly a dozen gas godowns are situated in areas where there are a large number of colonies & more than 50k people reside. LPG gas dealers like Kankaria Gas, Jaipur Gas, Om Gas, Pooran Gas, Mani Enterprises, Kavita Gas, Khandelwal Gas, Parvati Gas, Asaldurg Gas, Rajendra Gas, Shashi Gas, Anand Gas, Ashish Gas have gas godowns where more than 200 residential colonies exist. LPG cylinders weighing 5 kgs are stocked in thousands which may lead to safety hazards.
