Kunji Lal to probe Vijay Das incident

Jaipur : Senior IAS Kunji Lal Meena will investigate the incident of self immolation by a saint Vijaydas in protest against illegal mining in Bharatpur. Meena will hand over the inquiry report to the state government within 15 days for which the Home department has issued orders. Now, Meena will head to Bharatpur on Friday.

Meanwhile, The seers have decided to take out a yatra on Friday with ashes of Baba Vijay Das who self immolated during anti-mining protest in Bharatpur’s Pasopa recently. The yatra will cover 240 villagers of Braj area. It will start from Aaj Maan Mandir in Barsana. Through the yatra, people will be informed about the supreme sacrifice Baba Vijay Das made to protect hills from mining activities. A Bhagwat katha will be held in Pasopa from July 29 and a Rath yatra will culminate on July 31. A Samadhi of Baba will also be made in Pasopa, Brajdas Sunil Bhaiya Maan informed.
