JDA to issue order for 24-storey IPD tower at SMS Hosp soon

Jaipur: The order for construction of the much-awaited IPD tower in SMS Hospital premises will be issued by JDA as UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal approved the tender.

Now JDA will soon issue work order to the firm Rama Construction Company that gave a minimum tender of Rs 456.80 Crore.

This 115-meter high tower will have 24 floors and will be ready in 32 months.

Simultaneously, preparations have been started in SMS Medical College for the grand foundation stone laying programme for IPD Tower. 

A 'Medicos Memorial' will be built in the IPD tower in memory of the medics who lost their lives in Covid-19 pandemic, serving Covid patients. 

MULTIPLE FACILITIES

- IPD Tower will be the tallest in the country in the medical category.

- 24-storey IPD tower will be built in place of old cottage in SMS Hospital

- Rama Construction Company will build this tower for Rs 456.80 Crore

- A helipad will be built on the roof of the building

- Tower will have two basements where vehicle- parking will be available

- A theatre and waiting area for the general public will also be available

- Food outlet, registration counter and pharmacy facility will be available on the ground floor

- Six ICU wards and related services will be built on 3rd floor

- Medical Science Gallery, Admin Block, Seminar Room will be on the first floor

- Diagnostic, MRI, CT scan, Radiology services will be available on the second floor, and Post and preoperative ward on the fourth floor

- Plan prepared under the supervision of Medical Education Secretary Vaibhav Galriya

- 1200 beds will be developed, 20 OTS will be available in the tower
