Jan Aadhar must for cashless treatment in govt hospitals

Jaipur: The state government has made Jan Aadhar mandatory for cashless treatment in government hospitals in Rajasthan. The government decided to make Jan Aadhar compulsory as people were taking benefits of two different schemes simultaneously.

Officials informed that the Universal Health Coverage Scheme was started by the government in the previous budget. In this year’s budget, the Chief Minister announced to make OPD and IPD services free. Chiranjeevi Scheme and Free OPD and IPD scheme is creating confusion and leading to revenue loss for the government. “People are hiding their information to escape the government process despite being insured. This is leading to revenue loss to the state government,” informed an official.
