Jaipur to Delhi Vande Bharat train from April

Jaipur: Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat train is likely to get operational between Jaipur to Delhi by April. North Western Railway has sent a proposal to the Railway Board in Delhi to run the train. The train will start running soon after getting approval.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is likely to visit Jaipur on March 19. Now, commuters will take just 4.05 hours to travel between Jaipur and Delhi. The train will stop only at Alwar and Rewari but as of now the schedule of the train at Alwar is not fixed.

According to sources, the average speed of the train will be between 110 to 130 kmph. This is because at present the permitted maximum speed of the Jaipur to Delhi section is only 130 kmph.

Although the Vande Bharat train can operate at an average speed of 160 kmph, the Delhi route will take longer due to non-upgradation of the track. Currently, 11 Vande Bharat trains are operating across the country.
