GREATER JAIPUR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION BRIBERY CASE ARRESTED MEN GAVE 2-5% COMMISSION TO COMMISSIONER YAGYA MITRA!

Jaipur: The three accused of Greater Jaipur Municipal Corporation bribery case were interrogated, yet again, on Sunday at the ACB headquarters during which they made startling revelations, to the tune that yet another IAS of the state has been roped in the matter.

According to the three men - Chief Financial Advisor Achaleshwar Meena and Contractors Dhan Kumar Jain and Anil Agarwal - in what could be termed as perhaps the biggest revelation made by the accused, according to ACB sources, is that they have confessed that they used to pay 2 percent to 5 percent commission to JMC Greater CEO Yagya Mitra Singh Deo.

The accused who were interrogated by half a dozen bureau teams during which the trio were made to sit opposite each other in a room and were also subjected to one-on-one interrogation during which the men have confessed to several ‘secrets’ of their ‘trade’.

According to sources, the tender for Garden Branch in Municipal Corporation was over in 2021 but the brokers, after talking to Finance Advisor Achaleshwar Meena, were in a mood to get the tender accepted in backdate for which 7% commission was going to be taken separately.

However, before they could do anything, the ACB took action and arrested the accused. According to ACB sources, Achaleshwar Meena did not go to the office in the same car every day and used to change the vehicles (hired on a contract basis) often to avoid suspicion.

Even CCTV cameras were installed on the street and at his house. Interestingly, Meena used to always whisper in the ear of the agents and even during phone calls, he would talk in a low tempo so that his voice would not get recorded.

Meena used to sit in the Municipal Corporation office, would always keep an eye on the outside. He had also instructed the guards that without his permission no one should come inside.

Moreover, Meena and the agent would meet mostly at Manoj restaurant located outside the Municipal Corporation office.
