Employees to get RGHS benefit through Biometric
Jaipur: The Government employees and pensioners will get treatment through biometric system. The effort has been made to stop forgery in Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS).
In an exclusive interview with First India, Project Director Shipra Vikram said that thousands of patients are getting free treatment from the scheme. Daily 1,200 to 1,300 patients are getting treatment after getting admitted in hospitals. While about 1,2000 patients in OPD are taking free treatment under the scheme.
Seeing so many eligible beneficiaries, vigilance has also become very important. In such a way soon a ‘biometric’ system will be implemented in OPD-IPD so as to completely prevent any possibility of fraud.
RGHS was implemented to fulfill Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s intention of free treatment. All government employees and pensioners will have to register biometric identity in hospitals so that there is no delay in the treatment due to any kind of fraud. After the instructions of the Finance Department, now the RGHS administration has started work in this direction.
