ED raids: Congress workers protest outside ED office; market shut in Sikar

Jaipur/Sikar: A day after the ED conducted searches at the premises of PCC Chief GS Dotasra and summoned RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot in a separate case, Congress held a protest outside the ED office in Jaipur.

Congress alleged that when the BJP couldn’t make headway, they resorted to involving ED, but this has only strengthened Congress’s resolve.

Before the protest at ED office, Congress held a sit-in protest in Amroodon Ka Bagh. State co-in-charge of Congress, Amrrita Dhawan & others joined in.

During the stir, Congress members assembled outside ED office, holding placards, shouting slogans for about half an hour. Amrita Dhawan said that the protest aimed to defend core principles and would persist. Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that earlier, his father & brother were called by ED but they didn’t go. He was also summoned by ED & he went & returned.

In the meanwhile, Sikar & Laxmangarh town remained closed on Friday on the call of Teja Sena. There was a scuffle between BJP & Cong workers while closing shops during Laxmangarh bandh. Teja Sena burnt effigy of ED & CBI raised slogans at the bus stand in Fatehpur.
