Diya lauds devpt of road network in state
Jaipur: Dy Chief Minister and Public Works Department Minister Diya Kumari has said that development is happening at double the speed under the current double engine government of Rajasthan.
She said that almost double number of roads built in the first 100 days of the previous government has been built in the first 100 days of the present government. The commitment of the present government towards development can be gauged from the fact that on an average 33 km per day in the state.
With the construction/ development of long roads, on an average more than Two new villages are being connected with asphalt roads every day. According to the budget announcement for the year 2024- 25, to develop and strengthen the road system under the basic infrastructure, works worth Rs 5 crore each will be carried out in each assembly constituency of the state, as per the instructions given by the Finance Department on 14.02.2024.
Taking immediate action, the Public Works Department prepared all the proposals by 28.02.2024 and issued approvals worth Rs 1000 cr on 09.03.2024 and 11.03.2024 for the construction of 1631 missing links and nonpeachable roads of total length 3,219 km.
