Dist Secy in-charges should visit fields, ensure plaint redressal: CM

Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma while presiding over the review meeting of Departmental senior officials, district incharge Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners and Collectors through VC at Secretariat, said that the District Secretary in charge should not limit himself to formal review meetings during his visit, but should conduct surprise inspections in the field and ensure actual resolution of complaints and grievances. He directed that during field visits, necessary steps should be taken by conducting a detailed review of all new and old works and schemes along with electricity, water or agenda points. He also provided instructions for strict disciplinary action against personnel who are negligent in administrative work.

He said that it is the priority of the government to ensure adequate supply of electricity and water to the general public during the period of severe heat. He directed that the problem of tripping should be resolved immediately.

Sharma said that to provide clean drinking water to the people of the state, the District Secretary in charge should monitoring the projects and works related to water supply. The Chief Minister said, “Many such cases have come to my notice, where there is no water but the line has been laid and the tank has also been built. Strict action should be taken against the personnel involved in such cases.” Sharma directed the officials to cut illegal electricity and water connections, so that the consumers do not have to face any problem.

The Chief Minister said that the government has provided adequate electricity to people despite the demand for electricity reaching a record level of 3, 777 lakh units in summer season.

Sharma appealed to the general public to use electricity and water judiciously.

Chief Minister Sharma directed the officials to complete water storage projects before the Monsoon season. He emphasised controlling heatwave and disease situations, insisting on timely medical staff presence. He stressed no cow should suffer due to water or heat shortage.
