Dead and mutilated corpse of tiger cub found in Ranthambore

Jaipur: A tiger cub was found dead in Ranthambore on Monday. The body found in mutilated condition was cremated after post-mortem. This has questions on the surveillance and tracking system in Ranthambore.

Tigress T 79 has been missing from here for a long time. The Forest Department has not made public the information regarding the Arrowhead tigress, who is fighting for her life.

From the camera trap data, prima facie it appears to be the cub of the tigress T-69 and tiger T-130, whose age is about 6 to 8 months.

On Monday morning, the staff heard a tigress roaring in the area. The staff patrolled the area on foot and installed camera traps after which a cub was seen with T-69 but the other cub was not seen.
