Country can’t progress by vote-bank politics, appeasement: CP
Jaipur: Reacting to the political development in Maharashtra where NCP leader Ajit Pawar has joined the Shinde government, BJP state president CP Joshi said that no one leaves his home just like that. “Pawar is seeing his future in the Shinde government. He knows the mood of the people of the country,” he said. Joshi said that the BJP is working considering the nation first. He also said that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is for development and prosperity of the country.
“The Centre will do whatever is in the interest of the country,” he said. Talking to reporters at the party’s state headquarters, Joshi said that equal rights have been mentioned for all citizens in the Constitution of India and in such a situation, how a dual system can run in the country. He said that country can never be developed by appeasement and vote bank politics.
