Congress-BJP now focusing on independents, not badebandi

Jaipur: After bumper voting, Congress and BJP, which are now claiming victory, have also started working on their ‘Plan B.’ Under this plan, both the parties are contacting those independents who are seen winning in this election season. At the same time, contacts are also being made with those smaller parties which the parties consider close to them ideologically.

In 2008 and 2018, the government was run in the State with the support of independents and small parties. There are about 15 such seats in the State, where rebellious candidates or small parties contesting the elections as ‘Independents’ are seen disturbing the equations.
