CJ SHINDE: FORGET & FORGIVE WHATEVER WAS SAID YESTERDAY

Jaipur: Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court SS Shinde said that Rajasthan is known for its hospitality but whatever was said yesterday wasn’t needed. “Whatever was said here yesterday, forget that and forgive,” he said without naming anyone in the closing ceremony of All India Legal Services Authorities meet here on Sunday. It is believed that Justice Shinde said this in the context of political remarks which were made in the inaugural session of the meet on Saturday. During the inaugural session, CM Ashok Gehlot had said that one Shinde is sitting here, and the other Shinde became the Maharashtra CM.

Justice Shinde told the media after the session that along with child education in Rajasthan, issues like child marriages, and death feast have also been discussed in the two-day meeting. He appreciated the work of NALSA saying that National Lok Adalats have touched new heights in the country. Executive Chairman of NALSA Justice UU Lalit said about 29 lakh cases were disposed of in the Lok Adalat held in July last year. In September, more than 42 lakh cases were settled. “Medical health facilities should always be available to every citizen. They should also get legal aid. No one should have any problem in getting legal aid. This is what we are thinking & this will be our goal till 2047,” Justice Lalit said.
