Brain dead 16-yr-old gives life to 3

Jaipur: Three people got new lives at the 53rd organ donation of Rajasthan at Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur on Saturday from organs donated from a 16-yr-old, Gaurav Mahawar, resident of Hindaun Karoli, who was declared brain dead after an accident. Liver and two kidneys will be transplanted to needy patients in MGH while heart transplant will take time as a match is to be found.

Traffic Police created a green corridor to deliver liver and kidney on Saturday. The ambulance covered the 18 km stretch from SMS Hospital to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in 16 minutes and safely transported the organs.
