Boxer Mehak leaves for Spain for World Youth Boxing C’ship

Kota: Kota’s Mehak Sharma left for Spain with the Indian team from IGI Airport in New Delhi to represent India at the Youth World Boxing Championship to be held in Lusania Alicut, Spain from November 13 to 27. Mehak will represent India in the 66 kg weight category.

Mehak is the only boxer from Rajasthan who is joining the Indian team in this championship.

Before participating in the championship, the Boxing Federation of India organised a programme at the Rohtak National Boxing Centre from 15 October to 10 November. It organised a training camp for all the players in the Indian team — 12 girls and 13 boys.

A team of 38 members, including team coach, manager, doctor, massager, therapist will participate.
