BJP do less work & more publicity, CM Gehlot takes a jibe at Modi Govt

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said that the BJP does less work and more publicity while Congress governments do more work and less marketing. “The Prime Minister sends Rs 2 thousand to the farmer’s account in 4 months. Means, by giving Rs 6,000 a year, they are looting accolades. For this, big advertisements will come for many days. Then DBT will happen and its happiness will be celebrated. By giving 2000 units free to the farmer, we are giving him a benefit of Rs 1800 per month. This profit is of Rs 22,000 in a year. We also know maths brother. This is the reality and no one can falsify the reality,” said Gehlot while speaking at the closing ceremony of Rajasthan Kisan Mahotsav at JECC Sitapura in Jaipur on Sunday.

CM Gehlot said that his govt is giving grant in Gaushala but the BJP is doing politics in the name of cow. “When our govt was formed, we waived off the loans of the farmers keeping our promise in two days. We waived the loan of Rs 14,000 crores of the farmers. Apart from this, our govt also waived the farmers’ loan of Rs 6,000 crore of the previous govt. But as far as the loan of nationalized banks is concerned, we have written several letters to the Modi govt. We have even asked them to settle with banks. The state govt will give the amount of farmers’ share. But the central govt is not doing this,” he said. These people can forgive the loan of Rs 10 lakh crores of industrialists but they do not want to waive off loan of Rs 1 lakh crore of farmers.

Gehlot said that the state govt has formulated policies and programs giving priority to agriculture and farmers. 12 agriculture missions have been started & planning is being done at each point. Addressing the program, Agriculture Minister Lalchand Kataria said that the state govt has implemented various schemes to make farmers happy and self-reliant. Udailal Anjana, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Rameshwar Dudi, Dr. Prithviraj, Gaurav Agarwal, and senior officials of Agriand Animal Husbandry Department were present.
