BAN MULTI-STATE CREDIT CO-OP SOCIETIES: CM GEHLOT TO PM MODI

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the Prime Minister to impose a ban on the mu multistate credit cooperative societies and advised the people of the state not to fall for their temptations and to carefully examine the creditworthiness of such societies before investing their hard-earned money with them.

The CM said this at a meeting held at his official residence here on Saturday to review the progress of works in the Cooperative department. He directed the departmental officers to send a detailed report of the scams and complaints received against the multi-state credit cooperative societies to the Central government.

Gehlot instructed the officers to ensure regular inspection of the accounts of the credit cooperative societies run in the state as the government has received as many as 94,164 complaints against them. Of the complaints, around 31,000 are related to Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society and more than 41,000 to Adarsh Credit Cooperative Society
