All’s well in Cong, no oppn wave against govt: CM

Jaipur: A meeting of the Congress’ State Election Committee was held in Congress War Room on Friday under the Chairmanship of PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra. During this, CM Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Raghuveer Meena, Mahendrajit Malviya, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Murari Lal Meena, Govind Ram Meghwal, Mamta Bhupesh, Dr Raghu Sharma, Lalchand Kataria and other prominent leaders including Rajendra Yadav were present. Notably while state In-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Dr CP Joshi also attended the meeting, party leader Mohan Prakash did not attend.

After the meeting, Gehlot interacted with the media and said, “Everything is going very well in Congress. There is no opposition wave against the government. People have welcomed every scheme of the government. The names of the candidates will be decided only after the Screening Committee meeting. Election related issues were discussed in the meeting.”

Accusing the Union government of attempting to ‘spoil the atmosphere in the State’, Gehlot said, “Kirodi Lal Meena has not done anything new. ED, CBI, IT are working under pressure today. There is collusion between the Centre and Kirodi Lal Meena and we don’t know whose locker it is. Work is being done very fast in Congress. We are starting the journey from Baran. Congress President Kharge is coming to Baran on October 16. Our journey cover 13 ERCP affected districts. BJP has betrayed people over ERCP. Not a single word is coming out of PM’s mouth regarding ERCP. BJP has always worked to topple govts in states. We are moving ahead with Mission 156 in Raj. The entire Congress is united & we are moving forward taking everyone along."

PCC Chief GS Dotasra said, “BJP played its last gamble by fielding MPs. The Screening Committee will consider all names. Go to any village, people are in favour of the government.”
