A devotee dies in stampede at Khatu Shyamji fair

Sikar: In the ongoing Lakkhi fair in Khatushyam (Sikar), such a huge crowd of devotees gathered on Saturday night that there was a stampede. Chandra Prakash (30), a resident of Etawah in UP, died in the stampede. His family members have been informed.

The police are waiting for their arrival. According to the police, a devotee got buried in the barricade due to overcrowding and suffocated there.

With the news of death, devotees got furious and broke the barricades. In another tragic accident a Fortuner car hit a pedestrian who was enrouted to Khatu.

The deceased Rahul Singh Rathore was resident of Bainad Road. The police handed over the body to the relatives.
