8 RPS officers to be promoted to IPS cadre after UPSC meeting

Jaipur: 8 RPS officers will be promoted to IPS as a Board meeting will be held in UPSC in Delhi for selection through promotion from RPS to IPS. 9 posts will be selected through promotion and of these, the ‘envelope will be closed’ once again for Satyapal Middha.

While in other 8 posts Krishnachand Yadav, Laxman Das, Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Hanuman Prasad Meena, Rajesh Kumar Kanwat, Narendra Singh Meena and Rajendra Kumar Meena and Ramesh Maurya are the main contenders.

Notably, three times of the original posts i.e. 27 names were sent to UPSC against total 9 vacant posts. CS Usha Sharma will reach New Delhi by morning flight today and DGP Umesh Mishra will also catch the flight to the National Capital.
