5-month-old leopard cub found dead

Jaipur: The fivemonth-old leopard cub was found dead behind the Dhanushdhari Hanuman temple in the Nahargarh sanctuary area of Jaipur. The male cub, perhaps, died during a fight with a big male leopard.

On receiving the information, forester Gaurav Rathi and his team reached the spot and took the cub’s body to the Veterinary Poly Clinic where post-mortem was conducted.

In a conversation with First India, Dr Arvind Mathur said that the teeth marks of another leopard were found on the cub’s body. Besides, pugmarks of another leopard was also found on the spot.

It is possible that the leopard killed the cub at night. In another case from Lalsot of Dausa Panther movement in Khanpur village. Panther attacked two people including a girl.

Both were seriously injured. Panther’s movement has created a stir in the village. The panther was hiding in the mustard fields. Forest department team has reached the spot an efforts are on to rescue Panther. Mandavari police has also reached.
