4000 HOUSE ALLOTTEES TO GET BENEFIT OF NEW NORMS OF UDH

UDH department has changed provisions regarding approval of height of building

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has resolved a technical issue to provide relief to 4000 allottees of Affordable Housing Policy and Chief Minister Jan Awas Yojana.

The UDH department has changed provisions regarding approval of height of building and set back.

Under the Affordable Housing Scheme introduced in the second term of the Ashok Gehlot government and the Chief Minister Jan Awas Yojana announced during the tenure of the former Vasundhara Raje government, there is a provision to build houses for the poor on the private land of the builders.

In such cases, the setback was kept low in multi-storey buildings.

Also, in the cases of CM Jan Awas Yojna, the bodies were authorised to give approval of the height of the buildings. Later this exemption was also withdrawn and setback was increased in the model building bylaws.

This created confusion among the civic authorities regarding the cases which were approved earlier.
