3 Raj HC judges take oath of office

Jaipur: The Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court, Augustine George Masih on Wednesday, administered oath to three newly appointed judges of the High Court. Those who were administered oath included Justice Avneesh Jhingan, Justice Arun Monga, and Justice Mannuri Laxman.

With this, the total number of judges in the Rajasthan High Court has been increased to 35 out of the sanctioned strength of 50.

Notably, the Supreme Court Collegium had sent a recommendation to the Centre to transfer these judges to the Rajasthan HC from the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Telangana HC. Following the recommendation of Collegium, the Centre had issued appointment warrants, transferring the judges working in various HCs to Rajasthan High Court.

A total of 50 posts of judges are sanctioned in Rajasthan High Court.
