3 ACCUSED WERE ON THE RADAR FOR 3 OFFICERS FOR 3 MONTHS

Jaipur: In a major action against corruption in JMC Greater, Raj ACB on Friday arrested Financial Advisor of corp Achaleshwar Meena & 2 contractors.

ACB had been getting repeated complaints that contractors Dhan Kumar Jain & Anil Agarwal collect extortion money monthly from other contractors and give it to Meena.

They were on radar of ACB for last 3 mths. Their phones were on surveillance. On Friday morning, ACB received information that FA Meena will get money, from contractors, from Jain following which ACB monitored them.

SUPERVISION OF DG BL SONI

The team under supervision of DG BL Soni and ADG Dinesh MN, and led by ASP Bajrang Singh Shekhawat successfully completed the operation.

Meena and Jain met near Jawahar circle. Jain took Meena to his house in the car when the FA got down; he had a polythene bag in his hand.

After Meena reached home, the ACB conducted a search in his house and recovered documents pertaining to expensive properties & others. After it, searches were conducted at house of Jain & later another contractor Anil was caught.

After questioning, all 3 were placed under arrest on Friday night. They were produced in a court where the magistrate remanded them to three-day police custody on Saturday.

ACB SOURCES SAY

ACB sources said that the amount collected from contractors is distributed among senior officers. Such officers have also been booked.

Involvement of JMC Greater CEO may also surface, sources added. Both contractors used to get contracts and sublet & also extort money on behalf of officers.

Meena was very clever & used to talk on WhatsApp in abusive manner. ACB has recovered a diary from Meena which contains details about firms and money.

In search of the house Jain, ACB has recovered Rs 27.81 lakh in cash, documents of 10 plots and agri land while documents of 2 houses, 1 flat, documents of LIC and insurance were recovered from the house of Meena. ACB could not get anything proper from Agarwal’s house.
