WHAT WILL PRASHANT KISHOR DO NOW?

New Delhi: Election strategist Prashant Kishor is once again at crossroads. His given deadline expires on May 2 before which he has to decide whether he is going into active politics or not and if is will enter active politics, then from which platform will he do politics. Keep in mind that he has distanced himself from the work of election management. He has separated from his company I-Pac and has expressed his desire to enter active politics on his own. That’s why after the doors of Congress are closed, the question is, which way will he go?

Will he form a separate party with disgruntled Congress leaders and try to make it into a real Congress? There have been attempts in the past to this effect and several meetings have been held at Kapil Sibal’s house to form ‘Sabki Congress’ or ‘Aapki Congress’ and there have been discussions about forming the Indian People’s Congress. So, one possibility is that after the Rajya Sabha elections, disgruntled Congress leaders form a separate party and Prashant Kishor joins it. But this party will have no political capital. PK wanted to join Congress because the party has an idea, political space and close to 12 crore votes.

Another option for PK is that instead of forming a single party, he forms a third front against the BJP and the Congress, involving all his client parties and using the United Front and the National Front as was used in the past. Nitish Kumar could be the face in this experiment. Then another option with PK is to stick with the Trinamool Congress and prepare for the elections by projecting Mamata Banerjee. On this, many big satraps who have left the Congress or will leave the Congress in the next few days can come together.

The fourth option is to continue working for different parties as before. Work with Arvind Kejriwal to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Uddhav Thackeray, K Chandrasekhar Rao etc. and plan Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, after the election, he can ensure a big role for himselves. There may be other options, about which Prashant Kishor will reveal something in the next twofour days.
