WALLED CITY-LIKE PROJECT TO BE DEVELOPED AT AGRA ROAD

Jaipur: Based on the lines of walled city, a similar walled city will be built at Agra Road by Jaipur Development Authority (JDA). After a series of consultations, the JDA has finally issued a notification to develop a Heritage City Scheme at Agra Road. The Heritage City will depict the unique heritage and architecture of the walled city. Officials informed the notification was issued under Section 25 of the JDA Act after a number of meetings were held by UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal. Under the Master Development Plan – 2025, the area surrounding Kho Nagorian and Agra Road was marked as a specific development area. Later, it was decided to develop a Heritage City on Agra Road. As per the parameters of Heritage City Scheme, buildings will be constructed on Rajasthani architecture and the scheme has been earmarked as mixed land use. Both residential and commercial use of the land will be permitted under the scheme.
