Varun Dhawan remembers the late Sidharth Shukla as Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania completes 8 years

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Sidharth Shukla was one of the most beloved actors of his generation and he shared a very lovable relationship with his fans. He dazzled viewers with some applaudable performances on television and OTT and had also stolen the hearts of the audience with his portrayal of Angad Bedi in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The actor shared a great camaraderie with his crew and co-stars and on the eighth anniversary of the film, the cast of Humpty Sharma remembered the late actor.

Varun Dhawan shared some unseen photos with the late actor on his Twitter with an emotional note alongside. Calling him passionate and kind-hearted, Varun wrote, “8 years of #humptysharmakidhulania a very special film but today I remember it for the time I got to spend with sid on the film. He was kind hearted, protective and always passionate about work and friends.” Sharing a similar image on his Instagram stories, Varun mentioned, “some great memories with amazing people”. Alia Bhatt, who played the female lead in the film shared this photo on her story with several red hearts.

Shashank Khaitan, the director of the film wrote a lengthy note thanking the cast and crew of the film. The filmmaker wrote, “8 years of #hskd … At times it feels like yesterday and at times another lifetime… So much has happened in just 8 years … Varun got Married. Karan had babies. I had a baby. Alia got married and is about to have a baby. We battled through Covid. Siddharth Shukla left us for a better place 👼🏼.”

Actor Sidharth Shukla passed away on September 2, 2021, after suffering a heart attack at the age of 40. He was then in a relationship with actor Shehnaaz Gill after bonding with her on the sets of the reality show Bigg Boss 13. He is survived by his mother and two sisters.
