‘Tiranga Yatra’ registers Delhi’s ruling party’s presence in Ayodhya

AAP leaders, on Monday, also paid obeisance at the Ram Janambhoomi and Hanuman Garhi before meeting sants of non-BJP, non-VHP camp

Lucknow: Ayodhya-the city of faith- has turned into battleground for political parties of various hues.  While Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been making all efforts to showcase the holy city as the saffron bastion, other parties too are also not lagging behind to rush to the city to make it launching pad for their electoral campaign for 2022 crucial battle.

Ayodhya has significantly turned into “war zone” for political parties. Thus, in an attempt to take the battle to the BJP camp, the Delhi ruling party Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday took out its “Tiranga yatra” in Ayodhya under the leadership of Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and MP Sanjay Singh.

Interestingly there are two groups of Saints in Ayodhya and leaders of parties are meeting them as per their political convenience. Known for playing “soft Hindutav” Sisodia on his visit to Ayodhya said “Ram belongs to everyone.

Everyone should come to Ayodhya. Ram Rajya is synonymous with good governance. If someone is coming to Ayodhya to do politics on Ram then it is different matter. By praying to Lord Rama and carrying the tricolour, it will make our work even more sacred”.

The much awaited Ram temple is in Ayodhya likely to be thrown open for “Darshan” by Dec 2023, before 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Aam Aadmi Party, which hardly has any caste-based support has been making efforts to make dent into upper caste communities, especially Brahmins and others to widen its base. Sanjay Singh has clarified that AAP would contest all 400 seats in UP.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav too  has announced to visit up-coming Ram Temple at an appropriate time.

Akhilesh Yadav recently had stated “we are no less a devout Hindu. Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) has been a Bhakt of Lord Hanuman through out his life”.
