‘The Archies’, Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda’s official debut, commences production

Ever since Netflix India had announced their upcoming film ‘The Archies’ directed by Zoya Akhtar, fans have been excited to see the live-action rendition of this beloved comic with, of course, some Desi tadka. Now, it is revealed that the production of the movie has gone on floors and the shooting of the movie has commenced.

The film marks the debut of Shahrukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi’s youngest daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. The announcement was made by Reema Kagti who along with Zoya Akhtar produces the movie. She posted a picture of the clapperboard from the movie sets along with the caption, “#Archie’s #shootstarts #TigerBaby’s first solo production #partnerincrime”. The film will be produced by Tiger Baby Production, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s production house and Graphic India.

The first look of the three main leads was recently leaked on the internet and has been doing the rounds. Dressed in their 90s attire, Suhana, Khushi and Agastya look amazing. By the looks of it, Khushi Kapoor’s character seemed to be dressed as Betty Cooper while Agastya seemed to be dressed as the titular character Archie Andrews. However, Suhana’s look couldn’t be deciphered which has increased the excitement around her look.

‘The Archies’ is a coming-of-age musical drama based on the famous American comics,  'Archie comics’. The movie directed by Zoya Akhtar will release on Netflix.
