Seven babus from UP to be rewarded with PM Award 2020

Lucknow: Seven IAS officers of UP bureaucracy have been selected to receive the Prime Minister’s Award 2020 on the occasion of Civil Services Day on April 21 in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. PM Narendra Modi will give the award to meritorious IAS officers besides would also deliver a message to the bureaucracy on its important contribution in the development of the country.

In PM’s Svanidhi category, on Sunday, the Ministry of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Government of India, announced the award in New Delhi to be given on April 21. Varanasi District Magistrate IAS Kaushal Raj Sharma will receive the award at Vigyan Bhawan. The second IAS officer selected for the award is Navneet Singh Chahal, who promoted cultivation of black salt rice while serving as DM of Chandauli. He is presently posted as DM of Mathura.

The third IAS officer in the award list is Deepak Meena, who as DM of Siddharthnagar, played an important role in promoting black salt rice variety. Meena is presently serving as DM of Meerut. Further in the list the name of IAS Anil Dhigra, MD KESCO has been included for the PM’s Award for Inclusive Development through Credit flow of Priority Sector in Meerut for 2020 while IAS Dr Ashish Kumar Goel of 1995 batch, presently posted as Additional Secretary of Rural Development, New Delhi would be given this award for successful organization of Kumbh Mela 2019. He was posted as Divisional Commissioner, Prayagraj in 2019.

Vijay Kiran Anand of 2009 batch will also receive the award for the successful organization of Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj in 2019, which he conducted as Mela officer of Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj. He is posted as DM of Gorakhpur. IAS Dharmendra Pratap Singh of 2013 batch, Director NDMC and Additional CEO Smart City, New Delhi will be given the Prime Minister Award for Seamless End to End Delivery of Service without Human Intervention in 2021.
